[ARPil] Day 9 of 30 – About a friend

Tisharrah prepared to fight

This post is part of The 30 Days or ARPil event created by Pizza Maid of Pizzamaid.moe. You can find more information about it in here and the 30 questions here. If you are interested on seeing who is participating on the event, there is a block to the right with all blogs that are part of it too. Let me know if I forgot someone or put someone in there by mistake. 🙂

All my answers  will be about my character Rakuno, my ratonga monk in Everquest 2. From this point on it will be him doing all the talk!

P.S.: Screenshot provided by Tisharrah herself, so if the quality is better than my usual that is why. :p

Question 9: Who does your character trust?

There aren’t many people I trust nowadays. But there is someone I’d like to talk about. Her name is Tisharrah, she is a kerran mystic that helped me a lot during my earlier days of adventuring. And no, I am not drunk enough to confuse the races. Her race was indeed, kerran, the cat-like people. And no I am not making this up either.

Anyway, back when I was thinking seriously about adventuring. I had been a monk for a while then and I  thought adventuring would be a good way to see more of the world as well as help people at the same time. I wasn’t all that confident in my ability on dealing with whatever dangers lay ahead though so after much thinking I figured out that maybe there might be someone else with similar intentions that wouldn’t mind traveling together. Fortunately I was in a guild so I just asked around and eventually found out Tisharrah. An outsider would probably think that our first concern was our races but in truth, I don’t think either of us even cared about that. All we knew was that we both wanted to go traveling around to see what the world had to offer, maybe do something to make the world a better place too while at that.

At first it was awkward. We were both pretty good at fighting and solving problems as individuals. But as a team we had a long way to go. We persisted though. Eventually we got so good we started working like a well-oiled clockwork machine. Every time something tried to attack me, she would put one of her mystical barriers so they couldn’t hurt me. And if somehow they were able to pass through it she would heal me making the wound close faster than I could blink. From my part, I tried to do the punching and keep their attention on me.

We both grew as adventurers during those months, saw many places that we probably wouldn’t have been able to if we traveled alone and had some pretty fun times doing it. Then one day I figured it has been too long since I left my house and my carpentry shop so I decided to go back to Qeynos least people think those places abandoned. So we parted ways, but still kept in touch through the guild. Then we both left the guild each for different reasons. We still kept some contact, even went on some adventures together but it was all very sporadic. Now that I think about it, we haven’t talked with each other in a very long time. I wonder what she is up to nowadays…

  1. ‘sharrah is very flattered to be a part of your story. She still thinks she might eat you someday, but the possibility is verrry low.

    • And here I thought they were past their prejudices and were able to be good friends. Oh, well, verrrry low possibility is still better  than nothing, I suppose. :p
