[EQ2] Rakuno dings 95!

Rakuno showing off his muscles (Or trying to)

This weekend I finally got Rakuno to level 95, the current level cap for adventurers in Everquest 2. In fact, this is the reason for the disruption in the blog updates here. On the other hand, my blog posting has always been irregular so I was probably the only one who noticed any disruption.

Anyway, since it’s been over an year since I left EQ2 there was a lot of catching up to do. There were bags that needed upgrading, banks to clean out, tradeskills to level, new gear to buy, quests to do and so on. Even now that he reached level 95 there is still a bunch of things I need to do before I feel ready for the next expansion. He still needs to finish the questline in Cobalt Scar, get some heritage quests done and getting his transmuting to at least 400. The last is the more important for me because his bank is full of junk just waiting to be transmuting. I am also running out of bag space in his personal inventory because of that. What can I say? I just hate to throw away items that can be useful for transmuting!

His house has also been in a mess. When I returned to EQ2 that was the first thing I worked on due to my then very unstable connection. I got it to a very early stage only though as I was getting frustrated trying to implement my ideas and my connection got stable enough to do some adventuring. So that is where I went. I will probably go back to finishing the whole thing once the expansion hits and we can get all the new furniture. 🙂

For now, I will just slow down, try to catch up to my blog reading and mix a few other games here and there. 🙂

  1. I had a few bags full of items to transmute on a couple of characters as well and I just decided to sell them all rather than hoard them for who knows how long. Once you get past a certain transmute level, you really have no trouble finding things to transmute. Plus I was able to satisfy my minimalist urges by getting rid of things. 🙂

Congratulations again on 95! *hugs the ratonga*

    • The only reason I don’t want to sell those items yet is because getting skillup for transmuting is random. So I don’t know how many I will actually need to get it to the cap. Once I get to it though I will sell any gear left over gear.

      Thank you! *the ratonga sighs*

  2. Wow, a post about the infamous Rakuno! Actually, I think your Rakuno has more muscles than I. *sobs*

    Congratulations on your achievement, though!

And awwwwws @ the commenting griffon on your page. That’s so cute! Now I wish I had put more effort in it / could draw better (turns out griffons are actually kinda weird-looking and hard to draw).

And now for the exciting final moment… will I be considered as spam again or am I Shard of Imagination-worthy? Pressing the button now… 😀

    • Thanks! This is the original Rakuno, the one who I made up the name for and my favoritest (yes, it is a word) character. And if it makes you feel better he has more muscles than me too. /sigh

Hey, it was something cool that you made and gave to me. So I *had* to show it off. In fact, if you keep making these cool badges I might have to make a special page just to display  them all. 🙂

And seems the new anti-spam module worked as intented! *cheers*

  3. Aha. Thanks to Google reader and the switch to different platforms, I apparently still had your old blog saved which explains why I haven’t read most of your recent posts… *sigh*

Here I am now! And I love that screenshot. 🙂 While I never really got into EQ2, the ratonga are the one thing I would take with me to my perfect dream MMO. 😉

    • No worries. Stuff like that happens. Also I don’t think I helped much when I’ve been signing at Nerdby Bookahs with my wordpress account just because I wanted to change my e-mail in wordpress to make everything consistent and then wordpress complains about it if I am not signed up. /sigh

Thank you. 🙂 Yes, I would put ratongas in every MMO if I could. I doubt however SOE would let that happen. It is like their secret sauce now!
