Games I’ve been playing – July 2019

This is post #1 for Blaugust 2019

July has been the most intensive month this year for me thanks to Shadowbringers. I loved it so much that I could already declare it Game of the Year. The only other contender for the title could be Fire Emblem Three Houses but since I haven’t gotten it yet I can’t say anything about it.

And yes, I know there are still months until the year ends and a lot of other games that haven’t been released yet. I do expect them to be good games too but I doubt any of them will make me feel the same way as the journey through Shadowbringers did. 🙂

Anyway, let’s get to the topic of this post, shall we?

Games I’ve been playing – June 2019

I almost forgot to write this post. I haven’t been sleeping all that well in these last few days and Shadowbringers, the latest Final Fantasy XIV expansion, is the only thing that has been in my lately. And no, the sleeping problem isn’t because I have been up late playing the expansion. :p

Anyhoo, this is what I’ve been up in the last month:

[FGO] Onigashima and Shinjuku

Onigashima, the event I have been looking forward to, has finally started in Fate Grand Order. Despite my success with Rashomon I was still apprehensive about my servants perfomance due to a lot of reasons.

A lot of people were saying this event was going to be a lot easier than Rashomon but I still had my concerns. I mean in a game like this difficulty can be very relative due to what servants you have available and my roster still needs some work.

Well, turns out they were right. Onigashima is way easier than Rashomon.

Games I’ve been playing – May 2019

Another month that at the same time felt long and too short at the same time. I guess in this case it is because I finally sorted some real life things I have been putting off for a long time and because I didn’t play all the games I wanted to (isn’t that always the case?) due to tiredness and overall terrible mood.

This month should be pretty busy in terms of game releases so maybe this pattern will change. For now this is what I’ve been playing:

[FGO] Banana Bullying

The Rashomon event in Fate Grand Order finally started. I was apprehensive if I’d be able to build a decent team to do this event considering how lackluster my roster of servants is. But so far it turned out ok.

From my tests so far the only raid I’ve been able to clear consistently was the 1 million one. The 3 million I can survive but it can be a bit dicey. Plus I am not being to do much more than 1 million damage.

[FGO] Fate Grand Meme

Yes, that is a level 90 Spartacus. No, he is not mine. This Tuesday I finally finished the Seventh Singularity: Babylonia in Fate Grand Order. It was just when the CCC event ended too so I got to use the half AP for almost the entirety of the last two singularities!

Story wise I am still not sure which one I like more, Babylonia or Camelot. Probably Camelot more due to a lot of reasons. But anyway, here are my thoughts on the rest of the Babylonia singularity without any spoilers.

[FGO] Cruising through the Seventh Singularity

I rarely do longer posts about what games I am playing because I have a hard time figuring out how to talk about it in a way that seems interesting. Even more so when I am going through a grinding phase in a MMORPG or trying to get trophies in a game. Or just jumping through different games trying to find one that piques my interest.

But for the sake of variety and not leaving this blog gathering dust for such long periods of time I am going to try to write these kind of posts more.

So, to begin with let me talk what I have been up to in Fate Grand Order…
