[D&D] Mass Effect: Chapter 11 – The Big Yeet

This session our mission in the Hades Initiative finally ended. Or least the part of it in the station. Like I said before, the mission doesn’t end until we are back in HQ, reporting to Yulaya.

Anyway, what I am trying to say with this intro is that it ended exactly the way we deserved, given all the shenanigans we did.

[D&D] Mass Effect: Chapter 10 – Stealth is optional for this mission

Every time I think we reached rock-bottom in this mission we end up doing something to prove me wrong and show that, yes, we can still make this whole affair even more chaotic. Truly we are the worst spies in the whole galaxy.

First let me do a correction from my last write-up: Turns out we never took Lt. Ramirez for this mission. I probably got confused because he was suggested as a pick but then we decided to take Chanka Vox instead. So, please, ignore anything I said about Lt. Ramirez on the previous post! Sorry!

You can accuse our game group of many things but one thing we can’t be accused of is that our plans are boring. Or sane. Or both.

[D&D] Mass Effect: Chapter 7 – Attack of the Ninja Vorchas

If there is one thing I learned from these last couple sessions is a mission isn’t finished until we are back at HQ doing our report. Yes, that means there was another surprise waiting for us on the trip back.

And now that I said that I could see my DM doing something in the future so not even doing that is a guarantee that the mission is over!

One correction from last session’s notes: the prototype weapon wasn’t destroyed. Our attack was just enough to disable it but damaged it in the process.

[D&D] Mass Effect: Chapter 6 – Pew Pew in Space

You know those times when you think you just finished a quest in a game, go off to turn it in but turns out there was more to do? That is how I felt during this session. Not that I am complaining, it was more like a nice surprise as we were able to tie up some loose ends.

Also, full disclosure: I was horribly distracted and tired during this session so it might have more errors than usual. We’ll see once the rest of my group reads it.

[D&D] Mass Effect: Chapter 5 – The start of paranoia

You know when you see an enemy alone in a game then thinks it will be a straightforward fight, with no fuss or surprises? But when the fight starts it turns out to be way rougher than you expected? That is exactly how the fight we had this session felt for me.

But before we get into all that, one correction from last post: Tiberius killed the second Vorcha with a biotic power, essentially slamming him into the wall. Apparently I forgot to mention that detail because I forgot to write it in my notes, making me think the second Vorcha was killed with the Omni-hammer so I left that part vague.

I am mentioning this because I think it was an interesting detail to characterize Tiberius. I mean, turians have a certain stigma against biotics. Or at least they did pre-invasion.

[D&D] Mass Effect: Chapter 4 – Commander Jerkface

Last session our squad got assigned a temporary field commander by the name of Tiberius. Or rather Tiberius intruded himself into our squad because of the nature of this mission.

Our first impression of him wasn’t good and as the title of this post spoils, the second impression hasn’t been any better.

[D&D] Mass Effect: Chapter 3 – Suspicious Turians

After all the trouble S-Hole caused last session I am getting the impression our group is now just suspicious of any new NPCs that gets introduced in the story.

Granted the new NPC that showed up in this session didn’t give the best first impression and there are some other circumstantial evidence he might be trouble. But for now I’d like to believe that his only problem is his personality, that he won’t be S-Hole 2.
